VANESSA CONLEY

Vanessa (she/her) is a producer working across video, audio, and events. She’s the host of A Femme Dial podcast and a writer based in Toronto. After over a decade in event production (where she still moonlights), she made her way into the music industry via artist management, collaborating with award-winning talent.

These days, Vanessa is at CBC Music where she’s produces live concert films, in-studio session and live event. She’s produced recordings for Jamie xx, Allison Russell, Blood Orange, Charlotte Day Wilson, Caribou and NOBRO, to name a lot (there’s still more though!)

She currently hosts A Femme Dial, a long-form interview podcast that shares space with femme and lgbtq+ musicians to explore their artistry through listening to their own music.

Much like the state of the world, Vanessa’s interests are constantly evolving and she thinks a breadth of knowledge helps to bring perspective and specificity to a topic. Her work focuses on the intersection of art, culture and current events, and how that informs and influences society.
